Nicki is the fearless leader of the Rebels, with over 20 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry. Beginning her career as a Physical Therapist specializing in rehabilitation for conditions such as Parkinson’s, TBI, Stroke, and post-surgical or injury recovery, Nicki went back to school as a mother of 4 to further educate herself and become a Functional Nutrition Licensed Practitioner. With a Masters in Exercise Physiology, Nicki is also a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Specialist in Hormone Health, and holds certifications in Boxing, Spin, and Zumba. She believes in the importance of creating personalized programs for individuals based on their unique needs and passions, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Combining her knowledge of functional movement, therapy, and nutrition, Nicki has developed a unique style of training that supports individuals in meeting their fitness goals. From her experience as a PT to her role as a trainer, manager, owner, and sales director for gyms in Boston and Killington, Nicki’s love for helping others achieve dynamic, fun, safe, and effective workouts is evident in everything she does. Nicki is known for her passion for helping others and her ability to create engaging and enjoyable workout experiences. With a focus on individualized care and a dedication to lifelong learning and growth, Nicki continues to inspire and empower those around her to lead healthier, happier lives.

Gabe Alpuerto

Gabe is one of our part-time trainers who works full time as a test engineer for a defense contractor. He is a working father and grandfather who has many passions and hobbies but still finds time for his physical and mental health. When he’s not running his guacamole manufacturing business and playing music, he continues to make health and fitness a priority for himself by staying active and for others by dedicating some of his time to Rebel Fitness. No one understands how busy life can be and still make time for your own well-being quite like Gabe.

His passion is assisting others become the best version of themselves both physically and mentally. His fun and effective workouts leave you wanting to come back for more. Come check out his cool and creative classes at Rebel Fitness.

Summer is the glue that holds Rebel fitness together! She is not only the general manager, she’s also a key player in programming and teaching the semi-private sessions. She’s a huge contributor to the positive energy you feel when you walk through the door.

After working in the healthcare industry for many years she decided she wanted to put her energy into something more fulfilling. In 2020 she became a personal trainer to help guide others through their fitness journey, giving members of the Rebel community something she never had access to.

Her passion at Rebel fitness is fueled by seeing members accomplish their goals and succeed beyond their expectations. Outside of Rebel fitness her passions lie in spending time on the water with her family, traveling, gardening, reading, and eating wholesome food…most of the time!

Melanie Astrauckas

Melanie is Rebel’s jack of all trades! There is little she can’t do and nothing she can’t figure out how to do. She’s a personal trainer, nutrition coach, and the designer behind Rebel’s logo and merch artwork.

In 2016 she started her personal fitness journey and competed in a bodybuilding show, which unlocked potential she never knew she had. She started her personal training career in 2018 after deciding not to turn her art degree into a full time career. Over the years she has made an effort to hone in on her skills and knowledge about the human body, exercise movement and effective programming, while also educating others on proper nutrition for weight loss and body recomposition.

Her passion for teaching is fueled when goals are achieved and often exceeded in the gym, especially when those results translate to everyday life. She is a huge advocate for strength and mobility training! She makes an effort in helping clients navigate their physical dysfunction to help them through their sticking points. Knowledge is power and her goal is to teach you how to apply it for the best results. Outside Rebel she enjoys quality time with family and friends, tending to her home and garden, and creating gifts for her ETSY business!

Melissa Jefferies

Melissa has been with our members the longest here at Rebel! She knows everyone in the gym because she’s here morning, noon and night!

She started her own weight loss journey in 2016 when she decided to make fitness and health a priority in her life. Her decision to change her lifestyle inspired her to help others do the same. She is a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, behavior change specialist and a life coach.

Her passion at Rebel fitness lies with creating new relationships with members and making each person feel special, heard, and like they belong. She will help you build the confidence you need to reach your goals. Outside the gym you will find Melissa spending time with her family and traveling to new places.

Melanie Stroble

Melanie has been certified as a Zumba instructor since 2011 and then re-certified in 2013 as a refresher. She used to teach it at work in Illinois during people’s lunch breaks. She has a great passion for dancing, exercise, and having fun in class!

In addition to teaching Zumba, you can always find her working out and attending classes at Rebel Fitness. Starting in the fall, she also dances Tap and Jazz with a local dance studio; 2024 will be her 3rdyear doing it.

On a personal level, Melanie has a 5-year-old son, Preston, and lives in Chester with her husband, Jeff. She collects antique poison and blood medicine bottles (circa 1880-1900s); her collection has well over 500 bottles and counting! She’s also a true crime buff with over 300 books.

Shivani Belzile

JM “Shivani” Belzile, CYT has been offering yoga, meditation, and “contact yoga” in the Southern NH area for over 16 years. Recently a graduate of the NASM Stretch and Flexibility course, Shivani has enhanced her “contact yoga” techniques and is looking forward to assisting you in gaining mobility along with the possibility of decreasing pain in the body. A personal appointment for Meditation, energy or bodywork, whether it be “Reiki”, “Nidra”, or “Stretch” is paired with skilled pranayama (breath work) guidance to enhance the relaxation of mind.

As a Reiki Master, Shivani’s touch often naturally feels calming and yet energizing. Some say, “To be with Shivani feels joyful”.

Certified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, Certified Breath Coach, Certified Ayurvedic Nutrition Educator, NASM Certified Stretch and Flexibility Coach.

Marybeth Roberts

Marybeth has completed two 200-hour teacher trainings. The first training called Fluid Yoga took place at Sutra studio in Lowell MA with Jenn Howell. Through this training, she dove deep into the study of mantra, Buddhism, deities and meditation. The second training took place at “At Om” in Concord NH with Shivani Belzile and Asa Dustin. This path of study, Shakti Flow, began her in-depth exploration of Sanskrit, mantras, mudras and the movement of energy with the flow of yoga.

Whether she’s teaching yoga or fitness classes she meets you where you are and suggests doing what works best for you and your body. Her classes are filled with laughter, energy, challenges and self discovery, sweat, love and sense of fulfillment. She loves loading up the classes with as much work as we can fit in the time allotted giving you every bang for every minute you are in her presence.

Katrina Desharnais

Katrina is a recent Exercise Science graduate that loves to work with those who want to better themselves in many ways of life! She found her love for fitness through her own weight loss journey that she started on her own back in 2019! Starting her journey opened new possibilities she never thought she could fulfill. Doing research along with trial and error, she taught herself everything she needed to successfully reach her goals before deciding to further her education to help others in their own journey! She continues to make her own health and fitness a priority in her life while also working with her friends and family in her free time to help them live their best and healthiest lives! Her passion to help others combined with her knowledge of fitness creates a positive and fun environment to build your confidence and love for fitness! Outside the gym you will find Katrina spending her time finding new adventures, reading, line dancing, and making memories with her family and friends!

Joe Estee

For three decades, Joe has dedicated himself to the mastery of martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, training intensively under renowned master instructors in various disciplines. Achieving advanced ranks and credentials, he is recognized as an accredited master instructor in his field.

Currently, Joe oversees martial arts instruction at multiple locations throughout the Northeastern United States. He also conducts specialized seminars in the region. His teachings are enriched by a six-year tenure at an international health and wellness corporation and over two decades of research into the biomechanical aspects of martial arts.
